Dual SIM and My Phone
I’m thinking of getting the latest offering of My Phone — a dual SIM phone. Yes, it’s the one endorsed by Dingdong Dantes.
Anyway, here are the various models:
- T22 Duo (P9,999)
- B22 Duo (P5,495)
- S22 Duo (P6,888)
What makes this different compared with the dual SIM phones of the past? Well, their promise is that you can load any 2-SIM combination (any network SIM, wireless landline or even international SIM), and then use both SIMs simultaneously and seamlessly.
In other words, it’s like you’re carrying two cell phones, except that you’re just carrying one phone in reality.
(In the old dual SIM models, you still need to click some buttons or restart your phone so that the system will shift from one SIM card to another.)
Anyway, I was about to get a unit, except that I stumbled upon these My Phone Experiences:
- Myphone Slyder Series S22 Duo — Problems with voice/mic volume, white screen errors, phone conks out after less than 15 days of use.
- Problem with MyPhone T22 Duo — Bad reception in the case of the second SIM card. But there’s a workaround solution for this.
Anyway, for those of you who want to get a MyPhone, it’s available at:
