Philippine Cell Phone Prefix Access Codes

J at Filipination.com | Cell Phone | Friday, January 9th, 2009

There are numerous cell phone service providers in the Philippines such as PLDT SMART, Globe Telecom, and Sun Cellular, and each of them are assigned different cellphone prefix codes. Yes, the country code of the Philippines is +63, and although most of the local mobile phones here begin with 09, the actual international phone number format should start with +639…

So if a cell phone number in Manila is 0918-1234567 the long format is +639181234567.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, here are the different prefix access codes:

SMART
0918
0919
0920
0928
0929

Globe
0906
0907
0915
0916
0917
0926
0927

Sun
0922
0923

Thank you to commenter “D”:

Prefix Provider
0905 Globe
0906 Globe
0907 Smart/PLDT
0908 Smart/PLDT
0909 Smart/PLDT
0910 Smart/PLDT
0912 Smart/PLDT
0915 Globe
0916 Globe
0917 Globe
0918 Smart/PLDT
0919 Smart/PLDT
0920 Smart/PLDT
0921 Smart/PLDT
0922 Sun/Digitel
0923 Sun/Digitel
0926 Globe
0927 Globe
0928 Smart/PLDT
0929 Smart/PLDT
0930 Smart/PLDT
0932 Sun/Digitel
0933 Sun/Digitel
0935 Globe
0936 Globe
0937 Globe
0938 Smart/PLDT
0939 Smart/PLDT

Now that you know which provider handles which access code, you can choose your SIM card wisely. For example, if most the people you contact are using Sun Cellular numbers, then it will be better for you to also get a Sun SIM, because you can save on SMS text and voice call charges.
