It is better to check your Yahoo! mail, and then log off before surfing to different web sites. That advice also goes if you’re itching to visit Yahoo-related web sites.
Based on security reports (Ongoing Phishing Attack Exposes Yahoo Accounts), some people can now easily grab your Yahoo username and password. All it takes is for you to visit certain websites (such as the Yahoo! HotJobs site), and your login details will be stolen.
And worse, your login info will be used by some stranger.
So, it you’re going to check your email, try not to open other browser tabs. Resist the urge to visit other websites while you’re still logged into your Yahoo! email. Better safe that sorry, right?
